The Packet Watch Block is used to monitor the statistics of individual packets received on the CAN network. It can be used to measure the average period, total message count, message rate, maximum period, minimum period, and last time received for any message type. All measurements are very high-precision because hardware timestamps from the ECOM device are used.

Packet Watch Features:

• Measure avg. period, message count, message rate, max/min period, and last received time
• All measurements use hardware timestamp from ECOM device with 64 us precision
• Packets can be added directly from raw capture list or from CAN database - even during a "live" capture
• Reset stats for individual item or entire list at anytime
• Jump directly from a watch item to the CAN definition
